I rarely watch tv, but one morning as I was getting dressed for work .. I switched the channel to VH1 and saw the boys on Artist you outta know. Been a fan since then. I went to their concert at the Park Fest in Albany, NY.. :) They had some tech. difficulties but Dan is so nice, he got off stage to pose, talk, and snap pix with me! Love it.

So, I went to a mixed concert with Katherine McPhee, Daughtry, Dashboard Confessional, and of course, Augustana…I only knew them from Boston and never took the time to listen to their other music. But, wow, after they performed, the following and previous artists seemed terrible. I bought their CD the next day and gave listened to it like every single day since then. I am dying to see them perform live again! if you haven’t seen them live..GO SOON!!! I can’t wait for the new album to come out. By the way, alittle added bonus to the whole thing…. dead sexy jared Palomar… Oh my goodness, he is so gorgeous and really talented. I love Augustana

I heard Boston ages ago on an indie music channel (shh it’s a secret, and where I get a lot of my music from, lol). I watched the video in silence as the piano-driven song absorbed me completely. It reminded me immediately of Keane, lol. I downloaded a few songs since then but really, my interest diminished as I got into other bands at the time. Since then, they have catapulted into the mainstream media and Boston has re-emerged as a hit and I noticed they were coming to FL during my spring break. I thought, oh, tickets are cheap, and I really wasn’t looking forward to it at all and in fact, I was far more excited for Vega4. After meeting them, I realized I never gave their music the full chance it deserved. At the concert I was pretty oblivious to everything that happened, I was just in a Vega4 daze. I was wearing espadrilles and by the time Augustana came on, my feet hurt like hell and those thoughts persisted and dominated throughout and I couldn’t wait to get home (sadly). Although, soon after I started REALLY listening to their album instead of bypassing a whole song based on a 5 second clip, and have found that Augustana has some pretty incredible songs. They have risen to my top 10 (hard to do, lol) and now there’s no way I could miss their upcoming FL date for I have truly come to appreciate their music.

Last summer,I went to see the Goo Goo Dolls and Counting Crows….I was sort of in to the Goo Goo Dolls (I went away from that concert manicly obsessed with the Goo Goo Dolls-they’re my number one). But,Augustana was opening that night and it was the first time I’d even heard their name. It took me a couple months to become a fan…but then I bought their CD bout two months ago and I ADORE it-it’s fantastic! I I feel like their music is incredibly honest and just…REAL. My favorite song is Lonely People. I was lucky enough to catch Augustana with Goo Goo Dolls again earlier this month, this time as an Augustana fan too-they sounded great that night, and I know more than one person who was at the show and changed tehir opinion of the band after the great set they played. The best part was,I was lucky enough after the show to meet Jared and John. :-D I can’t wait to see where this band goes…they played three new songs at my concert, and I loved them all-so I’m pretty confident they have even greater things to come.
