Jared posted a blog today with some new updates on what’s been going on with the band & the new cd! :]
Hey everybody…
I think it’s been far too long since we’ve hung out on here :) Sorry about the lack of updates… we’ve definitely been keeping quite busy, but I’m going to do my best to keep y’all posted on what’s going on. For the last few weeks we’ve been in and out of the studio working on our new album called Can’t Love, Can’t Hurt (as well as flying all over for shows). We’re definitely really excited how everything has been turning out, and it was a really fun record for us to make… it’s going to be getting mixed over the next couple weeks, so hopefully it’ll be finished up soon and then we’d love to have it out towards the beginning of next year (but knowing how it goes it probably won’t be out til 2010 haha). I’m sure most of you have heard a few of the songs at shows (in various incarnations), so here’s the songs that will probably be on the record:
Hey Now (used to be Heart Shaped Gun)
I Still Ain’t Over You
Sweet and Low
Rest, Shame, Love
Meet You There Someday
Fire
Either Way I’ll Break Your Heart Someday
Dust
Twenty Years
I’ll Stay (formerly Cocaine)
Where Love Went Wrong
I definitely can’t wait for you all to hear it… but we’ll definitely be playing quite a few of the new songs on this tour, which by the way has been going quite well. We just finished the third show yesterday, and so far it’s been a really fun tour. It’s always fun to be out on the road with friends, so we were excited to finally go out with the Dashboard guys after talking about it for a while… they’ve been amazing to watch every night, especially since most of us grew up listening to them, so it’s really cool to be on a tour where you love both the music and the people. The John Ralston guys have also been really fun to hang with… they’re all great dudes, and they’ve got some damn good tunes! Both them and Dashboard have records that just came out that are excellent… go support both of those bands and buy their records!!! It’s definitely going to be a really fun tour… looking forward to seeing you all on the road soon!
Cheers,
Jared
