Hollowed Rock for a Hallowed Place
The Acousticade lineup was kept secret by promoters during the planning process. Though artist announcements are ongoing, so far Duncan Sheik, Odetta, Augustana, Paula Cole and Lori McKenna have solidified spots in the festival…
…The festival’s junior members come in the form of Augustana, a rock outlet generating huge waves with its single, “Boston.” Augustana has toured with the likes of Switchfoot, Dashboard Confessional, Snow Patrol and the Goo Goo Dolls. The band will release its new album, supposedly titled “Can’t Love, Can’t Hurt,” on April 29, only three weeks after Acousticade. If you’re looking to get a jump start on the album, be at the festival. Of course, if you can’t wait, Augustana will be at the South By Southwest Music Festival in Texas next week.

Why? A portion of the $29.50 daily ticket price will be donated to the Adirondack Council, a not-for-profit environmental organization dedicated to protecting the open-space resources of the six-million acre Adirondack Park.
